2006 POCI Nationals

Greeneville, South Carolina

July 16, 2005

Team Hoghead decided to check out the 2006 POCI Nationals in Greeneville, SC.  We arrived at 9:30 a.m.  We then made it to the first of FOUR large rooms filled with very cool Pontiacs.  We saw Bill and Mary Howell and their awesome 1970 RAIV Trans Am…they had a crowd around it.  We ran into Jim Ayres, who was looking at Pontiacs and buying parts for his GTO project.  We then ran into Mark Haynes and his dad.  This is the great part of this hobby, the people that you meet!!   By 3:00 p.m. we had walked through everything.  We then walked down to the swap meet.  We found an original Goldenrod Yellow 1977 Trans Am with Carmine Red velour custom interior!!  We headed back to Spartanburg to eat at the Beacon Drive In Restaurant.  We got there around 4:30 p.m. before the supper crowd hit.  We also had the privilege of J.C. taking our order.  Cameron ordered the famous Chili-Cheese O' Plenty.  I ordered a smaller hamburger but did get the O' Plenty.  Joe ordered the huge Beacon Burger O' Plenty.  It was quite the experience!!

J.C. wants you to "shout it out" and then "talk and walk."
